100% Verdejo Unthinkable, but Menade is a new organic estate! in less than 10 years, Menade is clearly one of the most reliable white Rueda for our clients. And my wife favorite, by the way. Therefore, Menade was the very first estate in rueda to turn organic. Now, they understood completely their vineyards, thanks to the talented Richard. As a result, they are producing new wines from specific parcels. ( la mission, nosso…) Menade Verdejo is surely the most appreciated white on our portfolio.-

La Nieta Characteristics Red wine Tempranillo 18 months Awards WINE ADVOCATE 96+ TIM ATKIN 98 PROENSA 100Variety 100 % Tempranillo. Vineyards Single-vineyard wine from La Nieta, 1,75 Hcts. Limy franc-clay texture and calcareous-clay composition with a deep sandy rocky sub-soil. High density of plantation on trellis, low yield. Organic fertilization. Environmental integrated agriculture cultivation. Year of plantation: 1975. Winemaking Destemed by hand with a rigorous selection of every grape. Cold pre-fermentative maceration. Fermented in 10 hectolitres oak barrels at 28 ºC. Pressed by foot twice a day. Malolactic in new French oak Bordelaise barrels. Aged 18 months in new French Bordelaise oak barrels. Tasting notes Intense cherry. La Nieta displays aromas of mineral notes, ripe fruit leading to a full-bodied, voluminous, intense wine, with structure and an outstanding balance. Elaboration Traditional elaboration, 100 % de-stemmed. 6 months in tank. 6 months in American and French oak Bordelaise barrels (age of the barrels: maximum 3 wines per barrel). Tasting notes Intense ruby red. Aroma of red fruits (strawberry) in good intensity in conjunction with spice, vanilla and oak notes. On the palate it is fresh, soft, balanced, with the fruit well integrated with the notes of oak, vanilla and light toast. Drinking temperatures: 16-18 ºC -

A serious wine from Montsant, heavy bottle and heavy wine! This blend of Syrah, carignan and grenache has spent 18 months in french oak. the result is in a big, rich wine that acquire elegance and freshness from the carignan grapes. Very good indeed. -

Ignacio de La Rica is a smiling man! This fairly new estate is sourcing his grape from one of the highest Village in La Rioja. An important fact, as it is a cooler area the grapes ripen slowly and keep natural acidity even though they are reaching great maturity. El Buscador is a crianza, but also a great medium bodied red, with smooth tannins god fruit concentration and perfect for drinking now! so perfect that it will put a smile on your face, just like the owner. -
