Owned by the Vauthier family (Château Ausone), Ch. Simard enjoys a tremendous solar exposure, that explain the deep and fairly intense natural style of this great wine.

Merlot dominated, Ch. Simard is often dark, plummy and rich. But also it is elegant and delicious. Tannins are ripe, or will be easily tamed after 1/2 hours in a decanter. If you are new to Bordeaux, well this is a rather good start.

It will keep easily another 10/12 years
