From southern Catalunia, Blau is the youngest and the most affordable wine of this estate. Owned by the talented Gil Family (Jumilla), they offer great wines, great value and great image! Blau is a popular wine from Montsant, estimated as Priorat little brother. Vintage after vintage the wine is delivering good quality, therefore it is highly reliable.
Placed in el Molar, Nuria Lopez Sarroca is working mainly with 3 different varieties such as Grenache, syrah and carignan (locally called samso). So far, they work with 35 has of vine on various soils – clay, sand, limestone and slate (or licorella). As a result, the estate produces 3 distinguish wines – Blau, Can Blau and Mas de Can Blau.
In this particular wine, Blau is made at 50% with carignan and then it is completed with equal part of Syrah and Grenache. So then, it is aged 4 months in barrel. In the case, you need more details. contact us!
