Pagos de Valcerracin is a brand new project, that includes wine production in southern Tuscany, California and Argentina (Valle de Uco) with the tremendous Callejon del Crimen. All the vines are in the same location, Peñafiel, in Ribera del Duero. The whole range, is very precise and well-made, is supervised by Italian wine-maker Roberto Cipresso.
The Valcerracin Roble is a young wine, aged around 10 months or more in barrel, the fruit intensity is complex and straight forward. The palate is smooth, medium-bodied with a lactic element. the finish is fresh, gently smoky and plummy.
