Description
Cul de Beaujeu 2017
Domaine Martin, Chavignol
SAncerre
100% Sauvignon Blanc
“Cul de Beaujeu” and “Monts Damnées” are two well-known parcels in Sancerre, more especially from the little village of Chavignol. A place, acclaimed by goat cheese lovers… Although goats are not seen much these days:-)
Here the soil is white chalk, but what makes the location so unique is the topography : steepy! And on the top of it with a south-east orientation.
As many others wines that we carry, here natural yeasts are used, so do not expect an explosive Sauvignon Blanc packed with exotic fruit… “Au contraire, mon ami!” it is delicate, gently aromatic but restraint. The mouthfeel is profound and mouthcoating. Floral, citrus, and flinty.
