Muscadet is, sometimes, confusing people that would expect a sweet aromatic wine! quite surprising, but some relate its name to variety Muscat, it is in fact produced with a rather neutral variety called Melon de Bourgogne. (Muscadet is the geographic place, near Nantes)

I love muscadet! I am sold, but it is like drinking a very pleasant generic Chablis or petit Chablis at half the price. And it delivers very well. The perfect white to have as an aperitif before a BBQ, beautiful with oysters or just a simple goat cheese salad. Even better with Freshly baked bread and pâté!
