Deep and up-to-date knowledge and great experience could define perfectly Eduardo Eguren, Marcos Eguren’son from Sierra Cantabria. Arriscado 2022 is a brand new challenge for Eduardo Eguren who has accumulated experience outside Spain, but more obviously with the family estates in La rioja and Toro.

After more than 5 years of trials, Eduardo has decided it will be about time to release this very special white wine from the lower part of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, one of the most respected location for wine quality within la Rioja! Planted in 1966 the parcel is known as “el Llano” and is located 500m above sea level and enjoy a cool northern exposition.

Here, Eduardo’s idea is not to produce a ready to drink blockburster packed with impressive fruit complexity. He wants to acheive a terroir-driven wine, that represents its origin and offers the finest expression of it soils composed at 55% of chalk. A wine that will deliver its perfume, delicacy and complexity through bottle aging.

Arriscado 2022 will be the first vintage to be released and the wine will be available in November 2024! although being a very recent project Cuentaviñas is not that easy to source. Thus, if your curiosity is constantly pushing you to search for new experiences, you should book your bottles as soons as possible;-))
