Description

Clos des Corton Faiveley 2018

Corton Grand Cru “monopole”

Domaine Faiveley

Clos des Corton Faiveley is truly special parcel from Corton Grand Cru. As many of you already know, Corton Grand Cru has different plots that have reached “Stardom” such as les Renardes, Les Bressandes or le Clos du Roi… More importantly, Corton is the largest Grand Cru with almost 100 hectares of vines, which is far bigger than the 50 hectares of the famous Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. For your information the smallest Grand Cru of all, which happens to be the tiniest Aoc in France on the top of it, is Romanée Grand Cru.

An intense, rich and voluptuous Pinot Noir, although too young, it is already delicious! packed with dark fruits, it exhibits mild leathery and meaty notes. The quality of the tannins is mind blowing, the sublime depth of the mid-palate is astonishing. Simply, a fine wine!

For those of you that are investing, you should have a look at Clos du Corton 2015 and 2020. They are already worth 200 and 250 euros per bottles, respectively. A wine that you should consider!
