Personally, Château Sociando-Mallet has a true Pauillac soul! It is elegant yet concentrated, aromatic and profound with a real capacity to age and to bloom in something unique in the best vintages.
The 2014 exhibits what a great and classic Sociando-Mallet can be : Dark color, profound nose of blackcurrant with a good sniff of well integrated oak. Intense, although young it needs to be decanted or aged another 5/8 years. Influenced greatly by cabernet Sauvignon
I will pick up a decanter then!
