Costieres de Nîmes

Old vines Syrah, complemented with Grenache and Carignan.

Costieres de Nîmes is the southernmost AOC in Côtes du Rhône, and while grenache is generally the main variety in most blended wine, here the star is Syrah! Very old vines syrah. The wines is then aged in cask for whole year, in order to add extra complexity then it ages another year in vats.

The result is a sunshine wine, packed with dark ripe fruit and sweet spices such as vanilla and cinamon.

Although it appears a bit rustic on the first sip, a short decantation will help the fruit complexity to develop intensely.
