Description

Ao Yun

Cabernet Sauvignon blend

The story began in 2008 at over 2200m above sea level, near the Himilaya. Ao Yun first vintage to be released was 2013, now 2017 is already available.

Chinese wine might seem something for some of you, that comes from highly creative mind but apparently 7500 years ago wines was probably produced from some native varieties (not Vitis Vinifera). Anyway, in 2017 china already had more than 810.000 hectares of vines planted. Although, just 10% of this tremendous amount has been dedicated to wine production!

Chinese wine is a reality and many of them are now reaching high standard. Ao Yun has received great critics since its first vintage, but several estates are already well established, such as :

Château Rongzi : Jean Claude Berrouet is actually working there as a wine-consultant.

Grace Vineyards : The first cult Chinese wine

Ao Yun ranks amongst the most prestigious wines from China, and the volume is scarce! Just a few bottles are available in Andorra.
