Description
Recondita Armonia “F” 1987
100% Monastrell (Sweet and unfortified)
Very rare bottling from Gutierrez de la Vega : Recondita Armonia 1987.
By far and very far, one of the most impressive wine tasted this year at Classic Vins! And it is sweet, red, unfortified and aged 36 years in barrel. Well, not a first price either, but this is truly unique and fetching 14.5%!!!
Here, “F” means Fondillon an obscure wine produce in Alicante, but as Felipe (Owner and founder) decided in the early 2000s to leave the local DO, the estate is not allowed to use this word. Anyway, if you are fascinated by Ports or Banyuls, then you will have to treat yourself with a bottle of this utterly delicious sweet red.
First of all it is unfortified, and still the residual concentration is mind blowing : above 180gr/L.
Second, the complexity is just from an other world
